Sax DC - Art Fete
(painting on stage fundraiser event)
On 2014, Sally was invited to participate in SAXDC's Art Fete
A celebration of live painting, entertainment, and aerialist performances. During this seasonal weekly art event series, local galleries and rising artists help to raise funds, through art.
The proceeds raised during the event are donated to the DC Commission of Arts & Humanities and the art work is auctioned and the sales are donated to a charity selected by the artist.
Sally decided 100% of the sale from the art piece created live during the "Painting on Stage" event was donated to HIPS. (www.hips.org)
A long and well established DC organization that provides comprehensive health services, education, support and advocacy to sex workers & victims of sex trafficking.

DC Trashion Fashion Show 2014 & 2015
Sally participated two years straight in the inaugural 2014 and 2015 DC Trashion Fashion Show.
The Trash Fashion show is a national art show and event inspired through designing with recycled materials. This art program reinforces participants to advocate for recycling, reusing and reducing waste. It encourages a direct connection for students and professionals to reuse clean waste from the community that otherwise would be in the landfill, to create beautiful works of art.
The main event featured a runway of creative designs by local artists and creatives. The event connected/paired high school and middle school students from DC Public Schools (DCPS) with local artists. This is one of many community-driven efforts that Sally participates in to promote environmental awareness and to establish her support within the local DC arts scene.
The DC Trash Fashion show is a collaboration among Evergreen Design Co & DCPS. Sally created two designs, titled: Bully Baster Ninja (2014), Mayan Trailblazer (2015)
